The original act of solidarity of a group of musicians from Ukraine, Greece, the rest of Europe and America is documented in the documentary "Odessa Classics: Bridge of Music From Odessa to Thessaloniki" which is broadcast for the first time on television, on the first anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine.
The documentary "Odessa Classics - Bridge of music from Odessa to Thessaloniki" observes and records the frenetic pace of preparation of the musicians, their thoughts about their own struggle with their Muse as an ally, their joy at the whole-hearted response of the Thessaloniki audience. Stergios Fourkiotis (director) and Mariana Bozapalidou (screenplay) sign an ode to life, to the solidarity of peoples, to the peaceful power of music. A series of musicians of international renown, such as the founder and artistic director of the Odessa Classics festival, leading pianist Alexey Botvinov (who draws his origins from the Greeks of Odessa) as well as the musicians of the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, are the protagonists.

I would like to thank ERT3 for the trust they showed us to undertake the production of the documentary, as well as all the contributors for the perfect cooperation.
This leading musical event for the city of Thessaloniki is organized every two years by the Association of Friends of the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Orchestra and the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
ARTiCON throughout the duration of the competition, from 12 to 20 January 2023, once again took over the videography and audio-visual coverage. The competition takes place in three rounds, the preliminary and semi-final which are held in the rehearsal hall of the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki (former "Pallas" cinema), and the final in the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.

I would like to thank the professor of the Department of History and Archeology of AUTH, Mr. Nikos Efstratiou, for our perfect collaboration.
Searching for Neanderthals in the mountains of Samarina
The film was made within the framework of the Research Program "The prehistoric research of the AUTH in the NW part of the Prefecture of Grevena - The recording of Paleolithic sites and finds in the area of Samarina".
A few words.....
The prehistoric research of Greek and Italian researchers in the area of N. Grevena, and more specifically in areas of the Smolika massif around the Vlach settlement of Samarina, revealed in recent years the traces of a lively and extremely interesting "mountain archaeology", which for the first time time acquires a special dynamic and content in the Greek area. These are archaeological evidence - mainly stone tools typical of the Middle Paleolithic period - that describe the almost continuous presence of Paleolithic Neanderthal hunting groups that were active in this area of Pindos at least 60,000 years before today. The archaeological research of recent years in open-air sites with altitudes exceeding 2,000 m, near water, small alpine lakes and flint springs describe places where groups of Neanderthal hunters stopped during their continuous movements between the mountain masses of Pindus, essentially recommending the first alpine archaeological sites in Greece. The documentary presents the archaeologists' efforts to trace the daily presence of the Neanderthal groups in the area, but above all to understand the behavior of our close but still little-known relatives, who were found in Greece before the arrival of 'modern humans'.
